Recipe for "Golden Milk"
Production of curcuma paste:
– 1 tbsp turmeric powder
– 120 ml of still water
– a piece of ginger grated
– fresh nutmeg grated
– 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup or agave syrup
– 1 pinch of black pepper
– 1 pinch of cinnamon
– 1 teaspoon coconut oil
– 350 ml almond milk or other vegan milk Preparation:
Heat turmeric powder and water in a saucepan. Add ginger and nutmeg and simmer until a fragrant paste is formed. Now heat the almond milk and stir in the turmeric paste with a whisk. Depending on your taste add the maple syrup, a pinch of cinnamon and the coconut oil. Serve with a large pinch of black pepper. Tip: The addition of black pepper increases the effect of the drink many times over.
