Incidentally, the so-called "walking lunges", alias lunges, not only provide a knackpo, but also make for firmer legs. That's how it works (see the above video): Stand upright, feet together. Now take a big step forward with your right leg, bending your knees at a 90 degree angle as you put your foot down. Your front knee should be directly above the ankle, pointing your back towards the ground, but do not touch it. Press your right leg off the ground again and bring the left leg forward again in parallel. Repeat the exercise with the left leg. Start with 20 exercises a day and steadily increase that number. In order to increase the intensity, you can additionally take light weights (or full water bottles) into your hand.
